Plato’s Phantasies / 10.05.2012 – 02.06.2012
This exhibition includes six paintings which are both, interpretation of Plato’s theory of reality perception and painting itself. The beginnings of painting (invention of this art) as a popular in the XVII c. art is present even today. The history of painting and the idea itself are based on the luministic concept of reality perception. Thus, if the image comes from the observation of light, also shadow, as its physical absence, can be extremely inspiring. The shadow of human figure or object, as a part of reality which is also its mirror, can become a sufficient reason for painting game – it also happened this time.
