Katarzyna Szeszycka was born in 1983 in Goleniów. She graduated from the Faculty of Art Education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. She completed her master degree with distinction in 2008 (the annex in drawing in the class led by Prof. Anna Tyczyńska and Prof. Andrzej Leśnik). She is involved in painting, video and public space activities. She works in the Faculty of Painting and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Szczecin as an assistant at the Workshop Drawing Studio led by Prof. Tomasz Wendland and in the Studio of Painting led by Prof. Wojciech Łazarczyk. In 2013 she started her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. She is the author of activities carried out in urban areas of Szczecin within Glamrury project (2010/2011). In 2011 she was awarded the title of ‘the Ambassador of Szczecin’ in the category of painting.
She has won many awards including the Grand Prix at the XXIV Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting in Szczecin (2012), the Marshal of Zachodniopomorskie Province Award and the award of ARTLUK publishing house at the XXIII Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting in Szczecin (2010). Together with Kondrad Królikowski, she completed two projects combining medium of painting and photography: first project Pełnia – Realizacja (Plenitude – Realization) was presented in the National Museum in Szczecin (2012), whereas Pełnia – Suplement (Plenitude – Supplement) took place in RAL9010 Gallery and Jerozolima Club (Museum Night 2013). She has participated in many individual and collective exhibitions in Warsaw, Szczecin, Poznań and Berlin.
