Łukasz Rudnicki was born in 1973 in Warsaw. From 1993 to 1998 he studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in studios led by Prof. Wiesław Kruczkowski and Prof. Marek Sapetto. In 1997 he received a scholarship of the Minister of Culture and Art. In 1998 he completed his master degree with distinction under the supervision of Prof. Zbigniew Gostomski, and the annex in graphic art in the studio led by Rafał Strenta. He received the award funded by NSZZ Solidarność for the best diploma thesis at the Faculty of Painting. In 1996 – 1998 he was an assistant in the studio of drawing led by Prof Ryszard Sekuła at the home Academy. In 2007 he defended his Ph.D. thesis in fine arts. In 2008 he was appointed an assistant professor. In 2013 he received the degree of doctor habilitated. He belongs to an artistic group Der Blaue Ratler. He has participated in many individual and collective exhibitions.
